Weavemanila Inc. makes custom made handwoven abaca rugs and carpets for both area rugs and wall to wall requirement.

We have a wide variety of product range to choose from starting from thick woven area rug for light to medium traffic area to flat woven wall to wall carpeting for heavy traffic areas.

Our company is strong in custom made rugs for both residential, commercial and hospitality needs. We have four variety of natural colors to choose from and we can dye any color you want for dyed color rug requirement.

We can do make carpets 7 meters wide x 24 meters long flat woven rug as roll order.

 WHAT ABOUT THE ABACA FIBER MAKES IT PERFECT FOR A FLOOR COVER?

Abaca fiber, indigenous to the Philippines and obtained from the abaca tree is also called Manila hemp plant (it is part of the banana family) is considered the strongest of natural fibers.

Traditionally used for craft material and cordage because of its strength and great resistance to salt water decomposition, it is more widely used now in specialty paper manufacturers such as currency notes and pulp.

We use abaca as the medium in our weaving because of the rich history that it identifies with the country and the region we are in- it has lustrous and long fiber that has a varied range of natural fiber color that does not need dyes to make the color beautiful. 

WHY CHOOSE AN ABACA CARPET?

Abaca carpet is a natural fiber that is 100% sustainable. Abaca waste materials are used as organic fertilizer by farmers. It is one of the strongest natural fiber in the world and is biodegradable. It is mostly static free as it helps with the humidity of the room.

If you have allergies Abaca carpet is nice to have compared to artificial carpet. The natural look and colors of beige, coffee, and creme also gives the carpet different textures depending on the taste of the owner. Since it is quite strong- the Abaca carpet can last for years with proper care and can never be out of style!
